Today was an ordinary day.
There were no catastrophes,
no spiders, no bugs, no fleas.
We ran, but kept our wits about us.
We ate our vegetables and didn’t make a fuss.
We played and napped and played again.
Sometimes life needs a little shot of cayenne,
But today was an ordinary day…
And it was just perfect that way.
