If you haven’t read about this – or you’re not a blogger and thus wouldn’t care about this – it is a strange conglomeration of characters indeed. It stands for National Blog Posting Month. The challenge is to post every day for one month – a challenge that forces you to stretch yourself, to grow as a blogger.

Some have dedicated themselves to writing 50,000 words this month. I’m already four days late, but I’m in.
Maybe I won’t hit the 50,000 word mark – maybe you’re hoping I won’t. There are plenty of good topics open for discussion though so we’ll give it a whirl.
I could launch the parade of words using material from this one day. It has been a day of major decisions regarding the next phase of my life. Or I could mull over the things I will do this week – there is a full and exciting calendar ahead of me.
Some days may require that I dream up a story or two because there is nothing more interesting than what the dogs have done that day or how much time I have spent tending the fires and restocking the wood pile on the back patio.
As with any race worth running, you can’t use up everything in the first mile. Start slow and pace yourself. Exactly what I’ll do. Talk to you tomorrow.
